Our approach to privacy
Fire Safety Community is an educational website. You can read lessons, answer questions, and make a family worksheet without creating an account.
What the activities collect
Interactive quiz answers and worksheet fields are handled in your web browser. They are not transmitted to our application server, saved to a database, or tied to a user account. We do not ask children for their names, home addresses, birthdays, or contact information.
Technical website data
Like many websites, the hosting service may maintain standard server or security logs, which can include IP addresses, request times, and browser details. This initial website does not include third-party advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or web analytics.
Read-aloud feature
Where supported, the interactive lesson's read-aloud feature uses the browser's speech synthesis capability. How speech is generated depends on your browser and device. We do not record or request microphone audio.
Donations and external links
The website does not accept credit card details. If a verified donation service is enabled later, it will be an external provider with its own privacy and payment terms. Links to U.S. Fire Administration, Red Cross, and government resources also lead to independently operated websites.
Important safety distinction
This website is not a live emergency alert service. In an active emergency in the United States, leave the danger area and call 911 from a safe place. Parents and caregivers should guide younger children through fire escape planning and drills.
Changes
If we add accounts, online forms, analytics, or payment processing in the future, this notice should be reviewed and updated before those features go live.
